Dogs need physical and mental stimulation and enjoy canine interaction. Sun City Shadow Hills provides dog parks for its residents that are double-gated with long, grassy areas and chairs for residents to sit as your dog burns off excess energy. Separate areas are provided for small dogs versus large dogs so your dog can dart about, frolic, and meet new four-legged friends in a safe environment.
Phase 1
To get to the park, start at the Montecito Clubhouse:
• Cross Sun City Blvd at Camino Santa Juliana.
• Take Camino Santa Juliana to Camino Santa Elise. Turn right onto Camino Santa Elise.
• Continue on Camino Santa Elise around the curve to .
• The Dog Park is at the end of .
There are two areas in the dog park. One is for small dogs (25 pounds or less) and the other is for large dogs (over 25 pounds).
Chairs are available for residents to sit. Dog poop bags are provided
The park is open from 7 AM to Sunset.
Phase 3
To get to the park, start at the Santa Rosa Clubhouse:
• Turn right onto Sun City Blvd.
• Continue on Sun City Blvd. to Camino Aguacero.
• Turn right onto Camino Aguacero
• The Dog Park is at the end of Camino Aquacero.
There are two areas in the dog park. One is for small dogs (25 pounds or less) and the other is for large dogs (over 25 pounds).
Chairs are available for residents to sit. Dog poop bags are provided.
The park is open from 7 AM to Sunset.
When outside the dog park enclosure, all animals are required to be restrained on leash at all times, including when arriving and departing the dog park.

Both dog parks are great for my small dog to run, play, and socialize with other dogs. This is also a social time for the owners. Owners need to watch their own dogs. When the dogs “do their business” the owner needs to pick it up and dispose of it properly. The HOA provides doggie bags for the poop done in the dog park. Please note, the chairs in the dog parks were not provided by the HOA. Some owners, mostly year round residents, paid for all the chairs. Only the benches were provided by the HOA.
